Not friendly on my second monitor...
I saw this as a featured app and thought it would be kitschy to run it on my second monitor when Im not actively using it. Its not advertised to do this but I thought Id try it. I found that indeed there are some problems if you try to run it this way.
1) If the fireplace app is in full screen mode on the second monitor, you cannot use Cmd-Tab to switch between applications.
2) The dialog box comes up often ruining the effect. Its too bad this app doesnt follow Apples convention of providing a preferences panel instead of the dialog.
3) When running it uses a lot of CPU.
